What should I expect during my Zoom™ teeth whitening procedure?
If you are eligible for Zoom™ teeth whitening, our dentist will require you to book a teeth cleaning appointment beforehand. Once your teeth are free from plaque and tartar, the dentist will protect your lips and gums with coverings. The Zoom™ whitening gel will be applied to your teeth for 15 minutes, and a light will be used to activate the gel. This process can be repeated up to four times, potentially lightening your teeth by 6 to 10 shades.

We recommend scheduling a professional cleaning before undergoing the Zoom™ process for the best results. The process itself is quick, usually taking less than an hour.
During the bleaching process, we take precautions to protect your lips and gums to prevent any irritation. Then, we apply the Zoom!™ hydrogen peroxide whitening gel to your teeth. This gel remains on your teeth for approximately 15 minutes while the Zoom!™ light activates a reaction that breaks down stains and discoloration. The oxygen from the gel enters the enamel and dentin, effectively bleaching the stains without causing any changes to the tooth structure.
The gel is applied three times, each for 15 minutes under the Zoom™ light, resulting in a total treatment time of about 45 minutes. After the treatment, we apply a fluoride solution to reduce any sensitivity in your teeth.
